Ellen Degeneres
lending her magic touch to a new pet lifestyle brand, slated to hit PetSmart
shelves in early 2017. The comedian and rescue advocate has been involved
in human apparel and home design for more than 10 years, and is co-owner
of the pet food company Halo, Purely for Pets. Her new PetSmart line will
include apparel, beds, bowls, collars, leashes, harnesses, pet carriers, shampoo,
and other grooming supplies.

The nonprofit Rescue Express
Transport offers free transport
services for rescue groups to
move shelter animals from the
greater Los Angeles area to
northern California, Oregon,
and Washington. Twice a
month, Rescue Express transports shelter pets by bus to
rescue groups committed to
adopting the animals into
forever homes.
To celebrate its milestone
of 5,000 animals transported,
Rescue Express Transport
was honored at a private
reception in September at
La Velvet Margarita Cantina
in Hollywood by Eastwood
Ranch Foundation and LA 4
Animals Foundation.
