From drawing and paintings, I started
to experiment with the paint in my
own way.
But, no one understood what I was
doing! I participated one semester
at Aarhus Art Academy and my last
customer in my graphic business
closed at this time as well, thankfully!
I could now focus 100% on the art,
and it makes a big difference, like
a ‘huuuge’ difference! You dare
more, and you are working more
on getting through with your own
expression. I have had paintings on
juried exhibitions. The last one was
a special theme about the Danish
author Hans Christian Andersen.
I have tried various techniques,
expressions through the years, and
now I’m playing with the paint.
Is it difficult to be visible in the
world of art?

The art world is not easy, you have to
swerve in many ways, it costs to be
seen as well... But regardless, I feel the
joy of being creative, expressing myself
in my own way. I feel the joy of showing
my works and joy of the positive
responses from people; it is wonderful!
But yes, many galleries will not make
an exhibition if you have not been on x
number of juried exhibitions already.
How would you describe your art and
how do you stand out?
My art is very imaginative minded, I
also think that contemporary art, where
one expresses oneself about what is
happing now, around the world, is
fine, it makes good dialogue. When
I see how the smile appears on the
audience’s faces, when they look
at ‘small fantasies’, as my latest series
is called,
