CAREER OPPORTUNITIES The aim of the Specializing Master is to train professionals capable of following the productive process of lighting in interiors , urban exteriors , temporary and museum environments , residential and show , paying attention to the analysis of methods , organizing a realization of lighting considering the production process and the innovation of the field of application , such as the new IoT connected lighting , and new design methods such as BIM . The result of the Master is an innovative professional with skills that fit into the leading lighting design activities . They will be able to collaborate with lighting companies , lighting studios , and the technical departments of the civil service .
STRUCTURE The training course is divided into ten didactic modules , plus the internship . The first four teaching modules are dedicated to developing the lighting process ' s fundamental skills : theory and lighting technologies , methods and tools for lighting design , CAD and BIM for lighting , culture , and lighting design practice . The following five modules develop advanced skills in lighting design through project works in lighting for the show , hospitality , exterior lighting , cultural heritage , and retail . The professional empowerment module focuses on increasing competencies to get in the job , looking at the final internship held at lighting manufacturers and professional offices .
FACULTY The master has in his faculty some of the best Italian Lighting Designers such as Chiara Bertolaja , Piero Castiglioni , Carlo D ' Alesio , Vittorio Libertucci , Lisa Marchesi , Francesco Murano , Pietro Palladino , Marinella Patetta , Giovanni Pinna and Alessandra Reggiani and is directed by Maurizio Rossi .
LANGUAGE The Specializing Master is held in English . Any lecture in other languages will be translated simultaneously .
DURATION AND VENUE The Specializing Master takes place at Politecnico di Milano , Campus Bovisa , in the North West area of Milan and lasts for one year . The Specializing Master delivers 60 CFU , equivalent to 60 ECTS .
