[phone] www.polidesign.net SPECIALIZING MASTER IN LIGHTING DESIGN & TECHNOLOGY FIRST-LEVEL SPECIALIZING MASTER AT THE POLITECNICO DI MILANO CAREER OPPORTUNITIES The aim of the Specializing Master is to train professionals capable of followingthe productive process of lighting in interiors, urban exteriors, temporary and museum environments, residential and show, paying attention to the analysis of methods, organizating a realization of lighting considering the production process and the innovation of the field of application. The result of the Specializing Master is an innovative professional with skills that fit into the main lighting design activities, therefore students will be able to collaborate with lighting companies, lighting studios as well as in the technical departments of the civil service. LANGUAGE The Specializing Master is held in English. Any lecture in other languages will be translated simultaneously. STRUCTURE The training course is divided in ten didactic modules, plus the internship. The first four teaching modules are dedicated to develop the fundamental skills of the lighting process: theory and lighting technologies, methods and tools for lighting design, CAD for lighting, culture and lighting design practice. The following five modules develop advanced skills in the practice of lighting design through project works in lighting for the show, for the hospitality, for exterior lighting, for the cultural heritage and retail. The professional empowerment module is focused to increase competences in order to get in the job industry, looking at the final internship held at lighting DURATION AND VENUE The Specializing Master takes place at Politecnico di Milano, Campus Bovisa, in the North West area of Milan and lasts for one year. The Specializing Master delivers 60 CFU, equivalent to 60 ECTS. PLACEMENT The Specializing Master has a placement of more than 80% of participants who were able to fit into design firms and leading companies within one year after completion of studies.
