Targetti lights up the Zeisehof in Hamburg

The result of the work of the architectural firm Störmer Murphy and Partners, Zeisehof is today a large multi-purpose centre that houses the major advertising agencies in Hamburg; a“ common space” where the entrepreneurial creative community builds networks and creates synergies. Located in the Ottensen district, a vibrant and lively neighbourhood characterized by a varied urban environment, the Zeisehof is a solid, impressive and elegant architecture. Zeisehof is a tribute to the industrial history of the city; it clearly reinterprets the nearby Zeisehallen, the historic 1882 building originally built as a factory complex for the production of propellers, now used as a space for cultural events. Characterized by a large full height central atrium,

its six floors house about 2000 square meters of open-plan offices each. Every floor has a system of horizontal pathways surrounding the central lobby and serving as a connection system between the offices. The large atrium is covered by curved structure made of glass and wooden beams, ensuring a perfect daytime lighting. A major source of light during the day, at night it comes to life thanks to a wise use of artificial light. The lighting designer Peter Andres did not neglect any details. The atrium lives in the evening thanks to an indirect lighting system made with HALL LED devices with asymmetrical optics, placed at a regular distance from one another, which overlapping light beams create a smooth and uniform effect on the wooden structure. In addition, a controlled direct lighting system, made with LEDÒ headlamps, placed under the first and second balustrades uniformly illuminates the floor surface, avoiding glares. The paths facing the atrium have a dual lighting system: CCTLED Mini ceiling mounted recessed luminaires, with controlled optics, allow for a continuous lighting of the floor that does not impact on the vertical walls, while the removable recessed projectors CLOUD MINI allows to create an accent light on the wall whenever something needs to be highlighted. Offices have a lighting system made up of technical appliances on desks and CCTLED FLASH LED recessed luminaires that integrate with the daytime light provided by the large glazed surfaces, thus maintaining the right level of lighting throughout the various hours of the day and improving energy efficiency. The particular attention to environmental comfort has characterized each element of the project, including lighting: the chosen light sources all have a very high colour rendition and a warm shade between 2700K and 3000K.
