LED lighting fixtures represent complex electronic systems, which allow to manage the luminous flux in function of lighting installation requests. LED technology is subject to operational conditions( LED current, dimming levels, current stability), environmental conditions( Ta) and installation conditions. For all the technicians who have to manage outdoor lighting installations, it’ s paramount to know photometric characteristics( luminous flux) and electrical characteristics( power, power factor, harmonic distortion and overvoltage protection). The possibility to provide these types of data, contradistinguishes a company from another one. LED luminaires characterisation is an important process and AEC carries out an accurate measurement testing all the different luminaires operational conditions within its certified laboratories. Sometimes, It can be considered a very simple and innocuous process to provide specific data such as photometric values tested on other similar products and not directly on the requested luminaire, but in this way there is the risk to find approximate data on the market. AEC is against this ambiguous method in fact the company provides photometric data with certified report by third party, confirming its professionalism and reliability. According to AEC mission based on“ Total Quality System” philosophy, the company assures the control of all the declared performance
and quality values and data, without any misunderstanding and duplicity. The declared data on AEC reports are measured in AEC photometric laboratories, which are under surveillance of third party. AEC carries out tests and measurements for other important values such as overvoltage levels protection, operating temperature of critical components, power factor and harmonic distortion in function of dimming options. The management of all performance data of the luminaires is saved on AEC server and it’ s always updated in real-time, in order to provide clients with updated information and values, confirming to be always in line with the rapid change of LED technology.
