2013 Song and Skit

General Rules

1. Organizations will perform in Greek alphabetical order 2. There will be no nudity allowed. 3. Any sign of nudity, the lights will be turned off and your organization will be disqualified. 4. Each organization will have 10 minutes to perform. 5. Each organization will be given 5 minutes for set up & 5 minutes for take down. 6. The Judicial Chairperson will keep time and participation points. 7. Provide an Active Roster( including new members & pledges) to the Judicial
Chairman 1 week before the performance. 8. Participation Points will be added into the score by the Judicial Chairmen. 9. All organizations must get their skit concept approved by Elizabeth Artz no later than 2 weeks before the performance.
Scoring
1. Each category will be judged on a scale of 0-­‐10, on the following categories: a. Originality b. Creativity c. Crowd Reaction d. Presentation 2. No organization can have more than 10 points in any of the categories. 3. The highest and lowest overall scores from the judges will be dropped in order to maintain integrity in the scoring. 4. Points may be deducted at the discretion of the judges for inappropriate language. 5. One point will be deducted for every minute that an organization goes over their time limit. 6. The participation score will be weighted equally with the other categories that the judges are scoring the event on. a. The participation score will be converted into a percentage and that percentage will be used to add points from 1-­‐10( e. g. if 95 % of an organization performed then 9.5 points will be added for participation) b. Alumni and faculty members count in participation, but an organization may not go over 100 % participation
Judges
• There will be 3-­‐ 6 Judges in attendance.
• Judges will use a rubric sheet provided to them in order to score each performance.
• They will be seated in front of the stage.
• The judges are picked randomly and will be announce before the event.
