Greek Day Rules

General Rules

1. The rules shall be determined and enforced by the Judicial Chairman. All decisions shall be voted on by the Judicial Committee. In the event of a tie, the Judicial Chairman shall have the deciding vote.
2. Each organization must submit a representative and one substitute for the Judicial Committee, and only that representative may discuss a call or be allowed in the conference circle. Name of each representative and substitute must be given at the beginning of Greek Week. The Judicial representative and substitute must be a currently enrolled student of LTU in that organization. One point will be deducted from an organization’ s total score every time a member who is not the representative( or their substitute) attempts to protest a decision made by the Judicial Committee / Chairman.
3. Standings and points shall be awarded as follows:
Fraternities: First: 5, Second: 4, Third: 3, Fourth: 2, Fifth: 1. Sororities: First: 3, Second: 2, Third: 1.
In the event of a tie, both teams will receive the same amount of points, and the organization that finishes after will receive the next place( I. E. two fraternities finish in first are both awarded five points, and the next fraternity that finishes will be awarded 4 points etc.)
4. Participation in Greek Day is limited to membership of a LTU Greek Organization. Individual involvement of members is determined by each individual organization. a. A maximum of 50 % alumni participation is allowed per event.
5. There will be no rerunning or redoing of any events.
6. All tracks will be established by the Judicial Committee.
7. All races will be held in either relay or heat format.( Refer to race formation on Page 5).
8. All equipment must be to the starting area by check in. There will be one point deducted for every five minutes after check in that your equipment is not there.( Refer to race schedule on Page 3).
