Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis was born and raised in South Africa, following which he studied in Yeshivot in Israel. Before his
appointment as the 11th Chief Rabbi of Britain and the Commonwealth, he served as Chief Rabbi of Ireland and Rabbi of the Marble Arch
and Finchley Communities. The Chief Rabbi holds many positions of leadership, including Associate President of the Conference of
European Rabbis and President of the London School of Jewish Studies. He is a frequent contributor to radio, television and the press in
Britain and around the world. He is the founder, Rabbi and Honorary Principal of Morasha Jewish Primary School, the Founder and Director
of Kinloss Learning Centre, the Founder and President of the Kinloss Kollel and the Founder of the Centre for Rabbinic Excellence. Chief
Rabbi Mirvis is married to Valerie, a local authority senior social worker. They have four sons and seven grandchildren.
Shim Craimer came to the American shores from London 13 years ago having been appointed as the chazzan of
the Riverdale Jewish Center in New York. He posseses an astoundingly beautiful voice that he uses in many ways be
it at the pulpit of a Shul or in concert with an orchestra. He is also an accomplished piano/keyboard player. Shim
studied music at the Royal Academy of Music in London. He travels regularly around the USA, Europe and Israel
davening and performing and has the ability to emotionally make you cry one moment and dance the next. Shim is
married to Ruthie and they have four wonderful children Uri, Ben, Eli and Mia.
Andrew Leibowitz will be head our Passover kids programming. Andrew has been in the education
field for over 20 years and has his Masters in school psychology. Andrew is currently the Dean of
Students in the Ramaz Lower School. He is engaged with students daily, instilling confidence,
enthusiasm and spirituality in their lives both in school and in their communities. Prior to Ramaz,
Andrew worked at Magen David High School in Brooklyn and before that, Yeshiva University. He is very
excited to make this Passover a one-of-a-kind experience for your children.
Menachem Butler is the Program Coordinator of Jewish Legal Studies in The Julis-Rabinowitz Program on Jewish and
Israeli Law at the Harvard Law School. He is also a Contributing Editor at Tablet Magazine and a co-editor at the Seforim
blog. He lives in Cambridge, MA.
