“I'd have to say the music still comes first. I've had interest in acting and comedy, as a kid, but everything else were things I picked up on the rise of me trying to find and create platforms for my music to be pushed, in the a way I felt like a best presented me. I also wanted to innovate the hustle of a underground or independent hip hop artists.
“ I feel like a lot of consumers or even aspiring artist automatically assume that a rapper has to have a specific image or sound. I always felt like an underground artist that brings quality and understanding of how their brand should be built should still be looked at and respected as such, no matter that. My resume just comes from trying to figure out how to make it all work.”
Whats Your Claim to Fame?
Okay, so give us the run down, what is W.A.R. Media? How did you link up with this company?
“W.A.R. (We Are Renegade) media team and label is founded by Pharoahe Monch, of Organized Konfusion, and Guy Routte . It’s more of a family than anything. I became a part of the team when I began interning for Guy in 2011 and kinda just grew with them. I've been blessed to get gems from legends and be around some of my favorite artists. Pharaoh is a monster. Just to be around him and watch him do his thing is really a blessing; I'm learning a lot.
“Mickey Facts’ last album was released through W.A.R. so right now I'm pretty much just trying to keep up with the big boys, produce the best music I can and rep for the team as a signed artist. “
