1. Choose four fiction books (print or e-books). You can choose a mixture of graphic novels, short story books, Quick Reads, classic fiction. Join your local library for a cost-free option of choosing fiction or get inspiration from ‘Bookfinder’ on the Booktrust website. Also see our suggested reading list.

2.When you have read your first book, go to http://britlibrary60.wixsite.com/britlrc and complete the quiz. With each book read, you will accumulate points on your Reading Passport (you will receive this at the beginning of term 1). By accumulating enough points on your reading passport during the school year, you can exchange these for vouchers. Continue this process until you have read all four books.

3.You can write a book review for inclusion in the LRC newsletter. To get inspiration and see previous reviews, go to our LRC page http://britlibrary60.wixsite.com/britlrc/lrc-news-and-reviews. If the review is printed, you will receive a £10 voucher and extra points on your reading passport.

Top tip for reading for pleasure: Not enjoying the story? Stop and try another book – there are so many titles to choose from you will find the stories that interest you.

Happy Reading!
