he Library hosted a very

Subject focused and tightly planned session for Year 13 FMP Students working on Research Techniques for the Creative Industries. The class were helpfully guided towards relevant content - in particular the online Media Magazine - which they found far more efficient than simply typing key terms into Google and hoping for the best. I anticipate the depth of their research will be greater as a result of such exposure. One found content on representation of women in the media which she intends to utilise in her personal statement for UCAS. The handouts provided also helped to underpin the next teaching session on the correct way to reference an article/website/ book. I would recommend other classes make use of such an opportunity.
