Mick Clarke , the “Codfather” , recently
made good use of his Lowrance HDS 5 unit to catch this
great Sailfish off Sco burgh.
He says, “I was fishing with my friend
Charles Raymond and we launched from
Umkomaas, headed for Aliwal Shoal.
“We got to our spot just as the sun was appearing over
the horizon. Within five minutes of trolling, one of the
rods started screaming and a beau ful Sailfish leaped
out of the water.
A er an aerial display of jumping and tail-walking, the
fish was brought safely to the boat where it was
photographed and safely released to fight another day.
