After all the festivities, they were
more than ready to face the deadly
serious business of competition - in 15
different disciplines.
During the next week, Facebook and
other social media platforms hummed
with news and updates. In this issue
we will give an overview of how some
of the competitions went and their
results (some were still pending at the
time of publication).
Our Lowrance SA staff attended two
competitions. Mikala and John were
stationed in Sodwana for a week – at
the Big Game Trolling Championship.
They offered back-up assistance to all
skippers and anglers – regardless of
the electronics on board - though the
majority of the boats involved were
Lowrance-equipped.
Steph and Keith spent the week at the
Vaal River in support of the participants in
the Black Bass Championships.
Before we give their impressions of these
two major events and others – take note
of this important news!
13 Episodes of TV coverage, with footage
from each discipline, are to be aired on
Super Sport’s Channel 8 – around mid-
March, so keep your eyes peeled! You
(or at least someone you know) could be
featured in one of the programmes.
Lowrance SA congratulates all the
organisers, competitors, sponsors and
volunteers for their part in making the
Fishing Games 2019 such a huge success.
You did South Africa proud!!
