about just sexuality in
general. And women
seeing that because they
like sex, it doesn’t make
them a slut. It doesn’t
make them dirty or
wrong. They’re not going
to hell because of it but I
think it goes so far back.
It’s a paradigm that’s
going to shift overtime
and it’s going to have to
be with people like us
all talking about it and
saying, let’s not make it
this taboo thing. We’re
all doing it! Why do we
have to be quiet about
it? I have never gone
out for a girl’s night out
and the conversation
not gone to sex. Never!
Even with people that
are the prudest people
that I know. We all end up
talking about sex. I have
gone to sex toy parties
that girlfriends have
thrown that I think, oh my
God, I can’t believe they’re
throwing a sex toy party.
When you do that, you get
a roomful of women and
they start to talk about
some pretty raunchy stuff
and you’re like, really?! I
think it shouldn’t be so
shocking. We should all
be talking it because it’s
fun to talk about it and
it’s even more fun to do.
AB: I heard from
girlfriends that women,
when they’re together,
they’re even worse
than guys regarding
talking about sex.
KK: Yes!!!
AB: And yet they pretend
to be so prim and proper
and very unapproachable.
What’s the deal here?
KK: I think it’s just our
culture and it’s upbringing.
I am from the South and
down here - you don’t
even talk about it and
I have only really lived
in the South so I don’t
even know if people are
a lot more… What it
seems like in the bigger
cities is there’s a lot
more open-mindedness
and a lot more liberalism
about it but where I live,
it’s so taboo. I think it’s
