Anthony Thompson designated the journey into the 11th year as “The Year of Overwhelming Victory,” and this issue continues in that theme. 1 John 5:4 states that that “for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.” In the Feature Article, Pastor T. reminds us that Overwhelming Victory is ours through Jesus Christ, when we rely on God’s power and stay focused on God’s promises. Through sharing her testimony in I Testify, Sister Audrey Thomas encourages herself and the reader to find Victory in the Storm. In Words of Inspiration, Sister Jackie Meadows reminds us that there is Victory in the name of Jesus -- the name that gives us power and authority over evil. The article on Sarcoidosis in the Health Corner, was originally written in 2012 by dearly and recently departed Sister Eva Holley. Sister Holley was a beloved member of the LFCC family and we will miss her greatly. As a dedicated member of the Newsletter Ministry, Sister Holley enjoyed writing articles to educate us about various health conditions, even as she was battling her own. Although we are deeply saddened to lose such a wonderful member of the body, we know that Sister Holley has achieved the ultimate Overwhelming Victory because the Lord said, “well done good and faithful servant” and called her home to heaven to be one of his most beautiful angels. Deacon Jason Goods instructs us, in Dollars and Sense, on how to engage in “Spring Cleaning” for our personal finances so that we can have victory over debt and, in turn, stay focused on God. In our Honoring the LFCC Graduates, we celebrate five high school graduates and impart Godly life lessons through the Parable of the Pencil. 2
