Love Issue No. 1
The Interview
I started to get bad attention each week because my graphics were so
shit. then I was eliminated, I spent so much time perfecting my skills
and re-entered cycle 2 which I eventually won.
At one point I started to get really bad attention because people were
sick of seeing Khol’s face everywhere so im like fuck no, boo I’m
gonna make sure you see me in your nightmares, so that gave me the
motivation to book more jobs.”
Khol’s confidence and rebellious attitude is mesmerising, I catch
myself thinking back to the start of my career and I have to bring back
my thoughts into the interview, “Everything seems to have happened
so suddenly for you, how did you handle the constant shift of good/bad
attention and comments?” I ask with true interest for her answer
Her answer is short, she seems to have too many thoughts running
around
about this question eventually she says: “It was very
confusing, I'd be booking these magazines and events but people
would be commenting mean things.” You can tell there’s much more to
this answer, but maybe it’s been too long.
I move forward into today, trying to get her opinion on a quite
controversial issue amongst the older members of stardoll’s elite “After
being a member of stardoll and the many different projects that have
come of it for so long, how do you feel about the new generation that
has taken over?”
“I honestly don't like it, I really think it has gone downhill! The attitude
and ego some people have right now is disgusting, just because you
have your own modelling competition or you got featured on a
stardoll “reality show” blog, you are still a normal member not
"famous" or “elite". Theres a few people from my days who are still on
here who think they are the shit when they were the annoying
wannabe's who cried when they weren't featured in magazines
because their dolls are BUTT ugly, no shade tho!”
