Some would say that at the age of ten I couldn't possibly know what I wanted to do with my life but when I held my Grandfathers new camera for the first time and captured that first photo I knew right then and there that this was what i wanted to do and it wasn't just a phase, the thrill of capturing moments in time was a passion that was going to stick. And it stuck like glue.
Whenever I could get my hands on that beautiful flashy camera it was hard to get them off. All I wanted to do was take photos, of the trees, the sky, the people I loved, my horses, anything that seemed unique, funny, pretty.
As the years went on, nothing about that changed besides the way I learnt to use it and the passion to learn more that was ever increasing. I have been blessed to have a truly supporting family who have always encouraged me to chase my dreams, the sky is the limit!
For as long as I can remember my family have had horses, I can't imagine growing up in a life without them. Now at age 14, every spare moment I have is dedicated to training with my best friend Optimus Prime aka "Opi", trail riding with friends, attending pony club, gymkhana and getting the perfect pictures along the way of course! Living on a beautiful farm in Bellingen with all of our animals is a constantly inspiring setting and I love spending warm days in the local river with our horses.
Last year my mum organised a photo shoot with a very talented local Photographer Rachel from 'Rachel Vercoe Photography'. Watching her photograph myself, siblings and friends with our horses was all the inspiration I needed to know that what she was doing was EXACTLY what I wanted to do. Seeing the incredibly beautiful results was the cherry on top of a dream that I just had to put into action!
