Love is a potent weapon given to man by God. There are different types, namely; family, brotherly, and divine love. These carry an anointing from God ' s perspective that is usually underestimated by most people in life, including Christians. If you just take a moment and think of this next statement: What is the opposite of love? Is it not hate? Hatred in one sense can be seen as the result of envy, jealousy, anger, and so on. These can cause people to steal, kill, cheat, embezzle and more.
Love creates offspring, gives confidence, sacrifices time for others, gives money and other resources to the needy and heals the broken hearted. The love Jesus exhibited during his time on earth was divine love. This type of love is the hardest for man to exhibit because it involves putting yourself last and other people first in every facet of life. How many people in this present life can truly say they possess divine love, including Christians?
It is fair to say, very few. Jesus loved mankind which was why he laid down His life for him. This is an act of divine love. How many people on earth will be willing to die for another person? The plain answer is either none or very few. Quite some people, even Christians can hardly tolerate other people in their own circle, let alone, loving a complete outcast or stranger. A combination of love, faith and praise is one which the enemy cannot resist.
