What parts of your day-to-day do you enjoy the most?
I love being able to see our patients daily and watching them grow. I also enjoy getting to build relationships with their families and celebrate with them as their babies achieve their milestones. The NICU can be a stressful place for families, and it is an honor to help support them through their entire NICU journey.

We also love attending all of the celebrations / street festivals, shows, farmers markets and of course all of the Derby festivities every year. We’ ve also taken advantage of being so close to the Bourbon Trail and have built up a decent bourbon collection.

Looking back, what would you tell your pre-med self?
Looking back, I would tell my pre-med self to relax and enjoy the journey that is medical education. That sounds so cliché, but there is so much uncertainty and unknown when you are applying to medical school that it is easy to become overwhelmed. I have grown so much both personally and professionally since starting medical school in 2018, and I am so grateful for all of the experiences that I have had at the University of Louisville.
