GLMS Annual Report

We maintained flat dues for the 24th consecutive year, continuing our long-standing commitment to keeping membership accessible for our members.
We experienced follower growth across three major social media platforms – Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn – with the most significant increase on Facebook, which saw a 21.6 % rise in followers.
This year’ s Specialty Speed Networking event brought together first-and second-year medical students and physicians from 12 specialties in an engaging, fast-paced setting. A more intimate group size created greater opportunities for meaningful, individualized conversations, allowing students to ask thoughtful questions and gain deeper, more personalized insights from each physician.
The average turnaround for initial MedCentral applications was 26 days, well ahead of our Med30 program’ s 30-day goal.
By outsourcing credentialing maintenance tasks, including payer directory validations, revalidations and CAQH profile management to MedCentral Insurance Credentialing, practices have saved an average of 80-100 staff hours per provider annually, equating to an estimated 30-40 % reduction in administrative workload.
We hosted our 12 th Wear the White Coat program with 18 VIP participant-physician pairings. 100 % of our physician participants said they were“ very satisfied” with all three parts of the program –“ pre-op” breakfast, shadowing and“ post-op” dinner.
We hosted two“ Physicians Together” events, creating relaxed, welcoming spaces for members to connect, network and build community. The first event took place at Paristown Hall and featured an attorney-led discussion on medical malpractice, while the second was held at the Louisville Thoroughbred Society, offering an elevated setting for socializing and conversation.
We hosted a“ Private Practice 101” panel for medical students, featuring four physicians representing a range of practice models to help students better understand pathways into private practice after medical school. The discussion covered key topics such as the skills needed to launch a practice and the advantages and challenges of each model, while encouraging thoughtful questions and dialogue with the panelists. The session was engaging, informative and highly interactive.
MedCentral processed 532 initial credentialing applications and 1,232 reappointment applications. The reappointment application completion rate was 95 %.
We had a 99.2 % member retention rate. This is the 8 th consecutive year above the industry goal of 90 %.
Practices leveraging our MedCentral Insurance Credentialing Services realize an estimated $ 3,000- $ 10,000 in annual savings per provider through improved efficiency, faster enrollment turnaround times and reduced claim delays.
We welcomed 127 new or rejoin members.
Our Practice Management department recovered $ 248,476 in insurance hassle dollars.
Additional savings were realized through expert management of new payer contracting, provider onboarding and payer record updates, such as address changes and new location additions tasks that can otherwise require dozens of staff hours and delay revenue cycle timelines.
