interest is teaching medical students , and I gain great satisfaction working with them and passing on knowledge and surgical skills .
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time ?
I definitely enjoy spending time with family and friends doing water activities including boating , jet-skiing and swimming . I am also a huge sports fan , especially soccer , basketball and football . Aside from reading about medicine , I also enjoy learning about economics and politics . When time allows , I love to travel , both to explore places I have never been , in addition to visiting family members who are spread out around the United States . And while traveling , I listen to podcasts to relax and pass the time .
What is your vision for the Senior Physicians Speaker Series , and what topics do you hope to cover over the next year ?
I ’ m hoping that the Senior Physicians Speaker Series will continue to grow and thrive . We are adding members every month from all different specialties and reaching a larger geographic area than Metro Louisville . We have speakers from Lexington , Southern Indiana and Owensboro as well . We currently host a weekly meeting of Senior Physicians at Heitzman ’ s Bakery on Monday mornings at 9:00 a . m . We would like to invite members of the local nursing association to join us once a month to get involved and share their opinions about topics they would like to hear in the future . In 2025 we would like to host presentations on eight different medical topics . Examples include a session on changing technology such as artificial intelligence and its effect on medicine and surgery in the future , and a session on finance for retired physicians . Thank you for reaching out to me so I can spread the word about our upcoming programs for 2025 .
