SHARING GRATITUDE

My Grateful Heart

by WILLIAM DILLON , MD

When you walk into the Have a Heart Clinic , there is a different feeling at this place . Anita is the clinic and volunteer coordinator . She has boundless positive energy that radiates through the clinic . The employees and volunteers who work at the clinic are happy to be here and focused on the mission of Have a Heart . We strive to elevate community health in the Kentuckiana region by providing adult patients with cardiovascular care regardless of their ability to pay or their insurance coverage or status .

The Have a Heart Clinic was founded by Dr . Michael Imburgia . Mike has been a cardiologist in Louisville for over 35 years . The clinic originally started on the weekends out of his regular private practice cardiology office . Mike is another high energy person at the Have a Heart Clinic . His banter and cajoling keeps everyone happy and focused while working here . Have a Heart has now become a full-time clinic that is open five days a week . In addition , once a month we are open on a Saturday morning to see patients . The clinic offers office visits , echocardiography , stress testing and peripheral vascular screening as well as community public health cardiac screenings . Since the clinic ’ s inception in 2008 , we have taken care of over 10,000 patients and average 300 patient visits a month .
As for me , I love working here . Mike was a partner with me for over 12 years at Louisville Cardiology Group . I am a private practice full-time interventional cardiologist in Louisville and started volunteering at Have a Heart five years ago . This is as
