MEDICINE OUTSIDE THE BOX
in skin transplantation continues our initiative and research . With the support of UofL and UofL Health , we are transitioning our VCA program from a clinical trial to a standard of care treatment alternative , funded by third party payers . We look forward to including other types of VCA transplants in our program , including abdominal wall transplantation , with unlimited potential for novel VCA approaches and new areas of cutting-edge research . By following our principles of scrutinizing and challenging the “ box ” of biologic impossibility , while upholding the guardrails of ethics , we will continue leading this new field going forward .
