The GLMS Practice Support Department is dedicated to providing services and programs that meet the specific needs of members like you . At the core of these services is our commitment to serve as a valuable resource for physicians as an extension of their staffs . The following services are available to all members of GLMS .

• Administrative House Calls - We will meet with practices and physicians , either in person or virtually , to assist with insurance issues and other practice management concerns and needs .
• Annual Payer Roundtables - Open to all GLMS members and their staff to discuss current issues and topics with payer representatives .
• Insurance Accountability - GLMS holds payers accountable for correctly processing claims . Since 1998 , GLMS has fostered and developed relationships with insurance payers to ensure member hassles are addressed expediently . Hassles reported to the Practice Support Department are worked daily with insurers and then tracked to identify and communicate trends to members .
• Insurance Credentialing ( additional fees apply ) – We handle all the paperwork required for enrolling with insurance plans and track responses from each payer until provider numbers are obtained . We will also remain by your side to ensure that claims are being paid correctly moving forward . In addition to a wide array of customizable services , we also offer a full-service Annual Maintenance Plan to handle ongoing updates and insurance company requests and work with providers of all types and specialties . • Polls and Surveys – At the request of a member physician or their representative , GLMS will send polls or surveys to other practices to gauge the magnitude of an issue or to request recommendations for various services .
• Practice Management Forums – Monthly virtual meetings held on the third Tuesday of each month provide an opportunity to network with other medical practices and discuss insurance hassles and other current topics affecting medical practices .
• Practice Management Hotline – Call 502-736-6350 for assistance with practice issues , questions and concerns
• Practice Management Updates - Monthly email with news about trending insurance hassles and other timely news for practices and providers . To sign-up to receive these , visit glms . org / pmupdate /
• Tools & Resources – We will develop special tools and resources for members and office staff as needed . Examples of previous tools : Audit Tool Kit , Insurance contracting resources , health benefit exchange plan spreadsheets , Open Forums and Town Hall Meetings on new legislation , etc .
