Something for Everyone by KATHRYN VANCE

From medical students just starting out to retired physicians who have given years of their life to medicine , we want to make sure that we are representing and providing opportunities for all of you . Now that we ’ re able to gather in person again , we ’ re striving to provide programming for everyone throughout the year , and this spring was a great re-introduction to just that .

On Sun . March 12 , we invited all members and their loved ones to join us at the Kentucky Science Center for a day of family fun . They were able to enjoy the museum all day , and if you watched closely in the sea of visitors , you could find members and their families bouncing from one exhibit to the next with smiles on their faces , lots of light little steps and laughter echoing the halls .

Included in the exhibits is a prototype of the Uniquely Human
A Full Day of “ Doing Science ”
exhibit , which was partially funded by donations from the GLMS Foundation . Per an article from Dr . Monalisa Tailor in our November 2022 issue of Louisville Medicine , “ This exhibit is going to explore mental health , resiliency and how we interpret different experiences . This exhibit is going to get to the root of what makes each of us uniquely human .” The permanent exhibit is set to be installed in full by this summer .
