Many Louisvillians may know him as the owner of the legendary record store , earX-tacy , and current radio personality . The two married in 2004 but separated a few years later . They later got back together and while not married , they are the perfect pair . “ We see each other every day , and he ’ s my soul mate . He ’ s a very super guy and we do everything together … except be married and live together . You just have to find what works for you and this works for us ,” she said . “ But I know he ’ s the one .”
She likes to stay active and maintain strong physical and mental health . She makes sure to prioritize her daily hour-long walks with John , even in less-than-ideal weather , she said . Tennis is also a big part of her life , often playing five times a week , and sometimes even twice a day . “ It ’ s great because it ’ s great exercise and a great social experience at the same time . And for doctors , it ’ s always great to do something that ’ s competitive .”
She is also very involved in her church , St . John Lutheran , and has been active in the choir since she was just 5 years old , saying , “ It ’ s a small church , but there ’ s a lot of love there , and that ’ s what ’ s important .”
The future for Dr . Puthuff is up in the air ; while she has no current plans to retire , she knows she wants to set her practice up for success . “ Dr . Klein and I are very set on making sure that after we retire , our patients are set and well taken care of and that our practice can go on .”
With no hint of that time coming soon , Dr . Puthuff is energized and excited to go to work every day , finding each day a new blessing .
“ I just really love helping people . When my office manager hands me a check I say , ‘ Ooh , I get paid for this too ?!’ It ’ s the best job ever , I ’ d recommend it to anyone .”
