2021 DOCTOR ' S CUP

A ROUND WORTH REMEMBERING

Nearing the end of the scramble , with the 21st team of the day , Bryant Merrick stepped up to the tee and whaled away . Moments later , the staffer monitoring the hole on the other side of the course threw her hands in the air and screamed - Bryant had done it ! He ’ d made the first hole-in-one in Doctor ’ s Cup history . In fact , it was the first hole-in-one in his lifetime as well . “ I love golf , it ’ s my favorite hobby and I ’ ve played my whole life . I ’ ve gotten close a handful of times , but I always wondered whether I ’ d get a hole-in-one in my life . So that was awesome .”

Celebrating the accomplishment , he did not at first realize the true importance of that swing , he was so overjoyed with his score . When he and his team realized that this particular feat had just won him a Maserati , chaos ensued . “ When you said I ’ d won that , it kind of sent a shock down my spine . I was like ‘ What ’ d you just say ?!’” The news of this massive accomplishment and prize raced throughout the course and members from every team celebrated wildly on his behalf !
Congratulations again to Bryant on this great achievement !
