( continued from page 35 ) the years with his additions as well as gifts from friends and patients . His love for expression doesn ’ t stop there , though . He always looks good , matching his shirts and ties with colorful flair .
Though proud of his artistry with fountain pens , his biggest source of pride is his family . You just smile to hear him speak of his immense love for his wife Sally and their three children . Their daughter Shereen is a neurovascular specialist and hospitalist in Portland , Oregon . Their son Taj has a master ’ s degree in music from Indiana University Bloomington and his MBA and MAA from the University of Cincinnati ; he works at the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago . Their son John is a professional photographer and has also given Dr . Seyal and Sally their first grandchild - a
blessing which has fueled lots of road trips to Ohio .
“ My life is full . I ’ m very , very gratified with what I ’ ve accomplished .”
With writing ( hopefully his own memoir on the horizon soon ), reading , calligraphy , a growing family and a wonderful practice he just can ’ t let go of , his list of projects is long . He ’ ll never run out - but rarely does he feel too busy , since these bring him joy and peace every day .
