INTRODUCING MONALISA TAILOR, MD, GLMS PRESIDENT

I first got to know Mona when we were on our medical school surgery rotation in
Madisonville, Kentucky where I learned what a compassionate, smart and caring
person she is. I have known Mona for over a decade now, and she is the friend you
always want by your side: a rock in hard times, there to celebrate in good times.
I have seen her lead at both the local and national level. I was most impressed with
her work representing GLMS at the Annual American Medical Association Conference
in Chicago, Illinois in 2017. I could think of no one better to represent both patients
and physicians. With her in-depth understanding of health care, she enthusiastically
took the lead on topics important to GLMS and Kentuckians. It is within her core
to tirelessly fight for what is right. GLMS is lucky to have her as their leader, and
I am confident she will continue to grow the organization by leaps and bounds
during her tenure.
