Dr. Val was outstanding with her patients and took the time to teach me the entire day that I shadowed." - Gwen Mooney (Cave Hill Cemetery) – Shadowed Dr. Valerie Briones-Pryor, Internist “During his surgeries, Frank was kind enough to have a someone assigned to me to explain procedures and equipment as we were moving. It completely enhanced my day. The day of surgery was super impressive. This team was extremely well organized, and it went very smoothly. Post-op, Frank was very compassionate. His office staff was extremely professional and welcoming. Frank spent a good amount of time talking with people. The downer for me was to see the chronic illness; a lot of patients at the end of the day aren’t taking care of themselves. That’s something we have to understand better. It’s a lifelong change for people to manage their diet and health.” - Trish Osbourne (Central Bank & Trust) – Shadowed Dr. Frank Burns, Ophthalmologist 6 LOUISVILLE MEDICINE “The level of emotional intelligence Dr. Purcell brings to this job and the amount of mental energy it takes is astounding. I always think of doctors as a very technical thing. I was reminded how much you each bring of yourself, who you are and your set of experiences." - Stephen George (Louisville Public Media) – Shadowed Dr. Patricia Purcell, Pediatrician
