GLMS WELCOMES UofL SCHOOL
OF MEDICINE CLASS OF 2023
At the annual UofL School of Medicine White Coat Ceremony, dozens of new medical students
were welcomed into the medical community and ceremonially donned their new white coats
provided by the Greater Louisville Medical Society. The upcoming class heard from several
leaders within Louisville health care including School of Medicine Dean Toni Ganzel and GLMS
President Dr. Frank Burns. Following the ceremony, which was held Sunday, July 28th, GLMS
staff assisted Hollie Colwick Photography in providing professional headshot photographs to
all incoming students. This is a member benefit offered by GLMS each year. Look for photos

A FANTASTIC GROUP KICKS OFF
THE 2019 WEAR THE WHITE COAT
EXPERIENCE
Meeting for breakfast at the historic Louisville Water Tower on July 31st, GLMS physicians
and Louisville community leaders were paired for this year’s Wear the White Coat Experience.
At this annual award-winning event, GLMS invites all manner of Louisville VIPs to walk a day
in a physician’s shoes. The physician and shadower meet at our ‘Pre-Op’ Breakfast and plan
their meeting day. The ‘Post-Op’ Dinner, in which participants share their stories, will take
place on Thursday, August 29th at the Mellwood Art and Entertainment Center. Thanks to all
