11 GLMS Resolutions Passed
at the 2017 KMA Annual Meeting
GLMS physicians worked with their peers from throughout
the state to pass resolutions on topics as diverse as health
care coverage for the medically underserved, communi-
cation with pharmacies and restrictive covenants. Visit

During the Annual Meeting’s House of Delegates session,
past GLMS President Dr. Bruce Scott was elected as KMA
President-Elect for 2017-2018. Incoming GLMS Vice-Presi-
dent Dr. Mona Tailor was nominated for the position of KMA
Vice Speaker. She was unanimously approved and elected.
Congratulations to both of these hardworking physicians!
House Bill 4
Protecting Peer Review was one of several health care
bills to pass through the Kentucky legislature in 2018.
This progress was possible thanks to the amazing work
done by our physicians to meet with state legislators
during the Physicians’ Day at the Capitol and the GLMS
Legislative Reception at Angel’s Envy on February 1.
Thank you to the members of our Policy and Advocacy
team for making the state health care bills and KMA
Resolutions the successes they were.
