CLASS OF 2020

he University of Louisville School of Medicine and GLMS
physicians welcomed the class of 2020 during the annual
White Coat Ceremony on Sunday, July 24, at the Louisville
Marriott Downtown.
Following tradition, physicians and professors fondly and proudly
put the fresh new white coats on 156 incoming medical school
freshman. For the students, the afternoon was a brief reward for
years of hard work and determination. For their family and friends,
it was a joy to watch as they took another step towards the dream
of practicing medicine, now with freshly imparted wisdom from
experienced physicians.
School of Medicine Dean Toni Ganzel, MD, MBA, FACS, welcomed the students to the afternoon. “Class of 2020, we are glad
you have chosen to be a part of our Louisville medicine family.
We chose you very carefully because we know you are capable of
being great doctors. We pledge to you to be the best we can be, to
educate you, inspire you and support you on your great journey to
becoming a physician.”
