KENNETH J. S. DESIMONE, MD 1927-2014

With Kenny DeSimone’s death at age 87 on October 13,
2014, his family, the city of Greensburg, the State of Kentucky, the Greater Louisville Medical Society, and our
profession of medicine lost a multifaceted man who was, among
many things, an exceptional physician and surgeon.
He was born in Louisville, Ky. on his mother’s 17 birthday and
was buried, at his request, beside her in Evergreen Cemetery, in
Louisville, Ky.

In 1945 during World War II, he left Manual High School before
graduating to join the Marine Corps. He was the epitome of the
“Marine for Life,” was a true patriot, and had the utmost respect
