The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation has devoted a portion
of its funding stream to the Aligning Forces for Quality (AF4Q).
Until a few years ago the AF4Q worked with AHRQ to establish
some twenty-four Charter Value Exchanges (CVE). Louisville had
one of these CVEs and the Greater Louisville Medical Society was
active in it. The focus of the CVEs was to improve clinical quality
and to allow communities to develop whatever information on
