Above all, a recurrent theme in this book is to show humility, compassion to fellow human beings as one pursues the
life-long goal to be as competent, caring and compassionate
as one can be in the practice of a privileged profession. We as
physicians should never consider ourselves as members of a
highly exclusive professional guild; rather it is the service in
medical practice that will leave a lasting mark and will provide professional and personal fulfillment. The book is highly
recommended as a tremendously helpful tool to negotiate the
tortuous path of medical training which is strewn with many
hurdles and obstacles.
