Foundation Assists in Medical Missions The GLMS Foundation, with the support of Kosair Charities and Kosair Children’s Hospital, is able to provide the opportunity for two medical residents to join a group of more than a dozen medical volunteers to bring much needed medical care to Managua, Nicaragua. The annual trip is sponsored by the GLMS Foundation in partnership with Hand in Hand Ministries, a Louisville nonprofit that operates the Pathway to Change program for the poor in Nicaragua. and instruction to Nicaraguan residents and medical staff. An informational meeting will be held at the Old Medical School Building on August 20, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. Many local opportunities are also available if you would consider volunteering a few hours each month.
