Rob Zaring, MD, MMM, has been instrumental in developing the business skills of the medical community of
Louisville. Dr. Zaring works as the chair of the Leadership

an alternate delegate for the AMA. He contributed as a
guest speaker for the University of Louisville’s Residents

the GLMS Leadership Development Program.
Leadership Associates. The GLMS Leadership and Program

GLMS’s third annual Wear the White Coat program gave 21
prominent local leaders in business, government and media the

to learn what is involved in the practice of medicine.
Because the times are changing, this program does a great service
to local physicians by providing local policy and opinion makers an
unprecedented perspective. State Sen. Julie Denton, who shadowed
Dr. John David Kolter, said “there are really some implications to
the things we do in Frankfort as to what [physicians] do and how
many patients they can see a day and their accessibility to patients.
This was a real eye-opener on several different levels.”
GLMS members volunteered their time at this year’s Specialty
