cent Medscape survey of over 24,000 physicians asked the question
whether Quality Measures and Treatment Guidelines will improve
patient care. 73% of respondents said No, they will have a negative
effect or will have no impact on patient care!
We are all drowning in a roiling sea of guidelines. Can someone
stop this onslaught on our senses and our time? We need brief, succinct and practical guidelines and not hundreds of pages of scientific,
scholarly but unreadable, contentious and incomprehensible tomes
labeled as guidelines.
