A lot of people would choose not to embark on that journey. However, there is a group in Loudon County that is ready to start down a path of change. That group is the Loudon County Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber, just like many organizations, has had ups and downs in it’s 30-plus-year his- tory. We are poised now to take a new path forward. The leadership of the Chamber is committed to embracing the change needed to move the organization forward in a positive, value-producing man- ner. How do we as a group accom- plish this? Commitment. Hard work. By providing value to not only our membership but the commu- nity. Chamber leadership will chart the course, but without every member’s ideas, participation and dedication to improving our Chamber and county, we will not reach the goals we set. The Chamber is not the staff or the Board of Directors. The Chamber is you, our membership. A very wise individual once told me that what you give will be returned to you tenfold. I challenge every Chamber member to get involved. Put the Chamber events on your calendar and attend. Join one of our committees and let your voice be heard. Do business with Chamber members when possible. Give, and see what return you receive back. I look forward to a great 2020.
