Para esta edición, ABORDO consultó a un grupo de operadores
turísticos y agencias de viaje cuáles son las playas más hermosas
del Ecuador. Conozca el resultado de nuestro Top Ten playero.

travel agencies regarding the most beautiful beaches in Ecuador.

C reo que una de esas experiencias
inolvidables es la primera contemplación
del mar. Tal vez sea por su inmensidad, por
esa desconcertante sensación de fuerza y
cambio, o tal vez porque, evolutivamente,
algún vestigio biológico nos recuerda dentro
de nosotros mismos que toda la vida viene de
ahí. Sea cual fuera la razón, el mar y la playa
son símbolos poderosos que se contraponen
a lo cotidiano; de hecho, son casi un sinónimo
del placer: ahí tomamos sol, admiramos
el paisaje, descansamos, nos divertimos,
nos quitamos la ropa... En una palabra:
disfrutamos.
Y siendo que en el país tenemos lugares
tan bellos, nos atrevimos a indagar entre
los operadores y agencias de turismo, qué
playas continentales consideraban las más
hermosas. Obtuvimos en total 109 respuestas
y una lista de 35 playas, esparcidas entre
las cinco provincias con perfil costanero:
Esmeraldas, Manabí, Santa Elena, Guayas y El
Oro. Por supuesto, también preguntamos por
las playas más hermosas de cada provincia.
Finalmente, quisimos completar este ranking
sobre paraísos playeros desagregando las
mejores según su índole: ¿cuáles son las
mejores para aventura y deportes náuticos;

cuáles, las mejores en infraestructura
hotelera; las mejores para farrear; y, también
cuáles para descansar? No importa qué tipo
de viaje playero esté planeando para sus
próximas vacaciones. Consulte nuestra guía

What are the best beaches for
adventure and water sports, the
best hotel infrastructure, the best
to rest...?
I think that one of those unforgettable
experiences in life is the first time you see
the sea. Maybe it is due to the enormous
size, maybe it is the puzzling sensation of
the force and changing tides, or maybe it
reminds us that all life forms come from the

sea. Whatever the reason, the sea and the
beach are powerful symbols that breakup
our daily routine. In fact, they are practically
synonyms for pleasure: we sunbathe, enjoy
the landscape, rest, have fun, wear light
clothing... In one word: enjoy.
With such beautiful places in this country, we
presented tourism operators and agencies
with the possibility of presenting their choices
for the most beautiful beaches on Ecuador’s
mainland. We received 109 answers, totaling
35 beaches, throughout the five provinces
located along the Ecuadorian coastline:
Esmeraldas, Manabi, Santa Elena, Guayas and
El Oro. Additionally, we asked about the most
beautiful beaches in each individual province.
Finally, we wanted to round out this ranking
of beach paradises by listing the best beaches
according to different categories: Which are
the best for adventure and water sports? What
beaches have the best hotel infrastructure?
Where is the best party? What beach is the
most relaxing? Regardless of the type of
vacation you are planning, use this Top 10 as a
guide to plan your best itinerary. We are sure
you will enjoy your next vacation to the fullest.
