Konichiwa!

I'm Quilava the Flamethrower! I'm in a bit of a slump right now, but I'm a top article writer certified by the Loquaciousness Writing Federation! Writing for the first time in a month, I was thinking of what fandoms to write for, when my nemesis, the last episode of Yuri!!! On Ice, suddenly appeared! I'm still in denial that this is actually happening! By the way, Yuri!!! On Ice is a living legend in anime.

(If you got that reference, thumbs up!!)

Anyways, as you all know, all sports animes(including Yuri!!! On Ice) are like this: the first episode shows some kind of angsty past backstory of the main character(s). Then, some sort of miracle or surprise happens(in Free! it was Haru and Iwatobi Swim Club meeting Rin again; in Haikyuu!! it was Hinata and Kageyama winding up on the same team; in Kuroko no Basket it was Kuroko meeting and pairing up with Kagami). Then, they get close to winning in the first season and somehow get shut down, and in the second season they win(Iwatobi Swim Club placing 6th in Free!; Karasuno winning against Seijoh in Haikyuu!!). Then, it's over (an exception is Haikyuu, thank the Guardian Deity of Karasuno!!). This is probably to be expected

for Yuri!!! On Ice. It's begins with an angsty backstory, which is Yuri's horrible

loss in the beginning at the Grand Prix Final, and Yurio yelling at him to quit. Then the miracle was Viktor, figure skating champion and legend and Yuri's idol, showing up to coach Yuri (Katsuki).

Yuri then came close to winning the Grand Prix Final (finishing in second and losing by only by only 0.12 points, which I am still extremely salty about). However, as this is a new anime and only has one season so far, the future is not 100% clear. But we can predict by the last episode that there will be a second season in which they work hard and overcome all obstacles to win. It seems that Yuri will not retire in order to challenge one of his biggest rivals, Yurio. Yuri, who probably feels that he must pay Viktor back with a medal, will most likely fight for gold (to make Victor a five-time gold medal champion). And let's remember-the ending screen literally said "See you NEXT LEVEL". If that doesn't scream second season, I don't know what does.

So thanks for reading, and

See you NEXT LEVEL.

I might as well throw in "For the Team".
