Warriors

By Quilava

And there's my favorite couple—Leafpool and Crowfeather. But this tale is a sad story. It begins when that group of cats journeyed to the sun-drowned place to Midnight the badger. Crowfeather, then called Crowpaw, fell in love with Feathertail, who loved him back. Their love was unrequited, as they never had the chance to really express their feelings to each other. Feathertail died in the mountains, and Crowpaw felt guilty for her death, because he believed that he could have saved her.

When they came home, Crowpaw received his warrior name. He chose Crowfeather, in Feathertail's honor. You all know the story of Mudclaw's revolt, yes? Well, Crowfeather chased some Shadowclan traitors away, into the Thunderclan camp. There's a big dangerous cliff in Thunderclan camp, and Leafpool, then called Leafpaw, was standing near it. She got knocked off the cliff by the Shadowclan warriors who fell to their deaths. Luckily, she managed to keep ahold to the cliff. Crowfeather saw her beginning to fall, and had a flashback and saw Feathertail. He helped her up and saved her life, and they declared their love to each other that night. They started to secretly see each other, and they ran away, but badgers attacked the Clans, and their loyalty and love for their Clans won over, and they went back their separate ways.

Leafpool secretly gave birth to their three kits Hollykit, Lionkit, and Jaykit. They grew up to be Hollyleaf, Lionblaze, and Jayfeather, who helped defeat the Dark Forest. To gain back his Clan's trust, Crowfeather took up Nightcloud as his mate, and it was a loveless relationship. They had one kit together, Breezepelt, but Crowfeather couldn't forget Leafpool, and he was indifferent towards his new mate and kit. Breezepelt resented his father, and joined forces with the Dark Forest. Leafpool had her sister, Squirrelflight, claim her kits as hers and Brambleclaw's, in order to save face. Crowfeather and Leafpool reconciled at the end, I think.

Are you tired now, kits? Okay. Go back to your mothers, and remember—love is a beautiful thing, although it can also hurt.
