[laughs] Listen, this opportunity came up. Everybody knows, I think, how much I love comics and how much I love everything. I got along with Beau, Beau Smith, when we first met each other. We just got along really well. I really relate to Beau. I think he’s a great guy. I think he’s a fantastic guy, and I love his book and I love his character. I picked his brain a lot. Poor Beau. You left me alone with a comic writer. How am I not going to just be in awe? I spent a lot of time -he was like, for me, as much as he was like, “What’s it like to be on TV?” I was What are your favorite aspects of Doc? have their own motives, Wynonna like, “What’s it like to be a comic book included. Write My favorite thing about this show, and I an episode.” I said, “Maybe I just will,” think Melanie Scrofano did an amazing and I went home for 30 days and...I job, is she plays-the character’s so flawed. People ask me a lot of the time, “What just wrote a fan episode of everything Our leading lady’s flawed, but she’s so is it like to play a bad character? Doc is definitely flawed. think of good or bad, you know what He’s not the hero. I mean? What he’s doing, he’s doing for himself. Every character’s kind of You mentioned the comic earlier, selfish. In a lot of ways, all the characters and I know that you are writing on on Wynonna Earp are selfish. They all 26 I had story ideas that he was like, “Share the Wynonna Earp comic right now. Then it was as simple as him and I just talking and FaceTime-ing and reading outlines. We literally went page for page on that book… He would write a page. I would write a page. Don’t ask me how because I keep waiting for someone to say, “No, no, no. We’re taking it away.” “It was all a mistake. A terrible, terrible mistake.” “Yes, a terrible, a huge mistake. This can’t happen now.” Listen, I’ve been blessed because Beau’s been amazing... look at the character of the man. This is his book, his whole life, and just the fact that he would let someone else come in and write on this book… He’s a great guy, and he’s been nothing but just amazing and kind. I really hope -because he told me it’s true -- that he’s been having a lot of fun doing this. I think we stoked a little fire in him. Every minute of this is exciting to me.
