ABOUT OUR SCHOOL
The Secondary School of I grade “S. Pertini” is in Orta Nova, a little town with 18000 inhabitants near the city of
Foggia (Apulia region). It is a school for students aged 11-14. The building consists of two floors and it has about 24
classrooms which are wide and light. Nearby there is a school complex with 9 classrooms. Moreover the local
administration is building another edifice for the theatre and the teacher’s room.
The school has a library, a science laboratory and an excellent gymnasium for sports activities. The school band is
well-known in the area. There are over 626 children (boys and girls) and a staff of 70 teachers . The headmaster is an
experienced and a very efficient person. Apart from studying the subjects (Italian-English-French-Maths-Science-
Geography-History-P.E.-Art-Technology-Religion and Music), a lot of emphasis is given to acquire good values of
life. The school is open from Monday to Saturday.
