I was born in New Mexico but raised
in Arizona (20+ years). I am Half
Navajo and come from a large family
of 8 brothers, a sister, loving parents
and our family is still growing!
I Graduated from Fort Lewis College
with a Cellular & Molecular Biology BS.
I served a 2-year LDS church mission in
El Salvador. I love to travel, experience
new cultures, volleyball, and food.
Research experiences include: cultural
anthropology in Costa Rica, traditional
Navajo medicines as diabetic treatments,
telemedicine in pediatric perioperative
surgery, and medical error disclosure.
Before starting medical school, I
participated in a political leadership
program through George Washington
University in DC and interned at the
National Indian Health Board. I developed
an interest in Indian Health Policy and
Tribal Public Health. After DC, I worked
as a Program Coordinator for the Native
American Research Internship at th
