Longines Watches
Swiss watchmaker Auguste Agassiz established Longines in the Saint Imier district of Switzerland in
1832. Started off as seller of pocket watches with crown wheel escapements, the brand did not take
long to expand its market on the global front. Longines produced its first in-house chronograph
movement in 1878 patented by the watch maker Alfred Lugrin. Known across the world for its
hugely acclaimed precision time teller, Longines caters to a wide range of Swiss watch enthusiasts. It
has some brilliantly crafted watches which are a mark to their heritage and commitment to
innovation. An exemplary performance by the brand was seen with the creation of the Longines
Lindbergh collection.
Its story dates back to the brands association with Charles Lindbergh who set the first double record
of a solo flight and the longest non-stop transatlantic flight from New York to Paris in the May of
1927. Below are two of their bestsellers from the Master and Primaluna collection.
