Long Beach Jewish Life September 2014 | 页面 5

The New Year brings an opportunity for both reflection and celebration, and I’m proud that in Long Beach we can celebrate our diversity, tolerance, and sense of community at this time of year, and always.

As our Jewish residents take time to affirm the values of the Torah through atonement and in the festivities of Rosh Hashanah, I want to extend both my warmest wishes and my gratitude for your service and support in our community. May your High Holiday and New Year be filled with happiness and health, and may the values of tolerance, peace and fellowship that we all share guide our thoughts and actions.

On behalf of the City of Long Beach,  Shana Tova.

Mayor Robert Garcia
