Elisa Waltzman Sings

Reinvented: Hebrew Songs for Families

Community member Elisa Waltzman has released her first studio album, Reinvented: Hebrew Songs for Families . An outstanding collaboration with jazz artist Sammy Miller, the album is a musical reimagining of Hebrew songs for today's modern family.

An ordained cantor and classically trained singer with a stunning operatic range, Elisa was originally inspired by the Jewish music sung by her grandfather, Rabbi Cantor David J. Kane. She began singing at the age of eleven, eventually earning her bachelor and masters of music degrees in Vocal Arts from the University of Southern California. Elisa then went on to receive her cantorial ordination and Masters of Jewish Sacred Music from the Academy of Jewish Religion, California.

Elisa is a sought-after performer for both Jewish and non-Jewish audiences. Her debut album is an impressive blend of her considerable vocal skills – along with her desire to share the music that she shares with her own children – into a collection of songs that are destined to be enjoyed by children and their families for a long time to come.
